Green Tea

A former Imperial Tribute Tea (i.e. a tea of such high quality that emperors claimed them as their official property), Tai Ping Hou Kui is one of the most famous teas in all of China. Its large, long, flat leaf produces a light, vibrant taste when steeped. The impressive size of Tai Ping Hou Kui leaves arises from their specific cultivar as well as their plucking standard, which calls for a bud and two leaves.

Tasting Notes: a light, earthy, floral note with a hint of sweetness.
